The October 2008 Update

Well, I haven’t quit decided how I am going to post all of the cute pictures of all of our events. So humm… Lets see… lets just post them in order of how they happened. So first thing first. Daisy loves to play the Wii with us anytime we play. She has caught on very quickly and would probably kick our butts if we actually plugged her control in. (Dang it! I downloaded the pictures to be on the right side, now the wording is off. You will just have to match pictures with wording yourself. Sorry)
This is the first year that I have actually decided I liked Halloween. I am not a big fan of the scary part of Halloween and ugly looking things, but I do love the cute little witches, ghosts, and so on. So this year I made us some magnets. I got the directions off the web and even in the directions they made the candy corns wrong! What jerks!! I was so proud of my magnets and their made wrong. Because it got cold here in Cedar over night for just one week we had our heater on. Daisy was wondering what the noise was that kept coming on. I think she found the spot! A couple of weeks ago we went to Vegas to visit the family. Because Vegas is our vacation we decided we would take Daisy to ‘Pet Land!’ Daisy enjoyed the dogs at first but then she got tired. We got Grandma to come with us. She wasn’t a big fan of the dogs but she did love to watch Caleb with them. However, she wasn’t too happy when he put them in her face!

For Halloween Caleb and I thought it would be a fun idea to put on a Halloween Party! Our turn out was really good. I made homemade chili, German pancakes, and we played Mario Kart, carved pumpkins, played Seek ‘n Hide (with glow in the dark sticks) and had tons and tons of candy!! It was a blast! Maybe next year we will do it again!

For Halloween night Daisy dressed up as a Fairy Princess! She looked so cute!! That day while she was taking her nap I decided to make her a bag to collect her candy in. It looked freaking cute but I don’t have a picture of the whole thing. In one of the pictures is shows one side of her bag. Daisy loved the trick or treating! She thought it was a game and at most houses the person would play along. They would hand her a candy and put it in her bag, and then she would reach up and take another candy and put it in her bag, and then she would start to go for another one and they would say “sure! Of course have another one!” So Daisy got lots of Candy! At one house she even got a stuffed animal because she was “a little one!” She held on to the animal until she saw the next house with lights and then jumped down to get more candy!

Soon everything will slow down...

I've been SO busy with school for the last couple of weeks and more than likely I will continue to be busy until the semester is over!

I have taken tons of pictures of little things that have gone on with us and things we have done but I wont get the chance to probably post those until everyone SLOWS WAY DOWN.

By the way.... NO CANCER! The doctor totally shouldn't be a doctor. :0)

Also I have finished teaching my first four weeks in the 4th grade! I loved every minute of it!!

Last Tuesday I taught for my first time in 2nd grade! I liked it too....but we have a lice issue in that class!! I know I am sooo mad!! I really don't want to teach there for the next three weeks. But please wish me luck because I have to.

My Praxis test is coming up in two weeks and I have been studying a ton, but I still don't feel ready for the Reading part of the test. So wish me luck there too.

Caleb will take his CPA a test two days before mine, so wish me luck too.

Daisy will not be taking any test but she is doing great and getting really tall.

Sorry again for no pictures but I just don't have time. Sorry.... time to get back to homework and lesson plans.

Me? ...Cancer? ...How?

I really don't take pictures anymore. Sorry. Maybe if I had time I would.

Well, last Wednesday or Thursday I got a sore in my mouth. We were heading to Brian Head to watch conference, so we decided to pick me up some canker sore medicine to make the trip a little less painful. It numbed the pain for a little bit but every 10 minutes I had to add more. So on Monday I was in so much pain that I called the dentist here in town. I went in and asked him about my sore back behind my tooth. He said it is an infection and needs to be cut out! I of course hate blood and needles so he give me some meds to help with the pain.

I then figured that since I was in asking about the sore on the back of my mouth I thought I would have him look at the sore under my tongue. Come to find out the dentist thinks it oral cancer! Can you believe that, ORAL CANCER!! Of course if it is oral cancer that I have, than I am in the first stage because I don't drink, or do any type of drugs and I am not over the age of 40. SO, the only reason he is guessing that that is what it is, is because of its location (on the floor of my mouth) and because he knows it is not an infection. So he says that most mouth sores go away over 2 weeks so he will check me again on this coming Monday (13th). Which if it is gone or has gotten smaller than it is not cancer. But if it is the same size (still there) or has gotten larger than it more than likely is cancer.

Now back to the infection, the doc sent me home with some strong meds so I was all over the place! The next morning I couldn't even get my breakfast with out shaking and feeling like I was going to pass out. So I called my mom crying. She told me to just call the doc to cut the dang infection out of my mouth and get it over with. So I did. I even called my mother-in-law to take me because I couldn't get a hold of Caleb. So I am all worked up and I hate shots and I am laying on my back with Daisy watching me and everything. While LaRee was holding my hands and I start CRYING! Man I hate shots and needles!!! Come to find out the dentist decided to just clean the infection this time! He didn't want to cut into it and have the infection spread so NOW I have to go back and do it all over AGAIN!! Ahhh!! Gay!! Screw shots! Not to mention I might have some dang Cancer that I don't even qualify for!

And this all happened on my second day to teach! Which would've went well if we had gotten our whole 45 minutes to teach! BUT we didn't! We only got 30 minutes and we rushing through the whole lesson! One girl started crying because she couldn't finish her project, another was upset because she lost her ants legs, and other because she was embarrassed of her project and stuffed it in her desk! haha!! Man!! What a couple of days!

Not to mention my husband forgets that I am still going to school, while, ....oh I am not even going to go into the list right now.... I just haven't even studied for my PRAXIS that is coming up in a month! Ugh!

Hope you are all having a great day/week! lol

Another Update is all I can offer.

This will be another quick post! I am so behind with homework and I teach a 4th grade class next week! I am excited but also nervous!
I cut my hair again because I didn't really like the other do, so now it is short in the back and longer around my face. (I know they have a name for it, but I don't know it.)
Last weekend Caleb and I went looking for houses with our realtor for the first time. We found one that I fell INLOVE with! My parents will be driving through town tomorrow to see it and I hope they approve! I finally talked Caleb into LOVING it too!! So I think we are really really serious about this home and will probably be in it before Christmas or maybe even Halloween! Yay!!!

I wish I had a picture of this one... but the other night we were putting Daisy in the bath. I got her undressed before Caleb got the bath filled. So she ran over to the bathtub excited like always to jump right in. Well, instead of Caleb just putting her right in, he walked towards me talk about how cute she looked leaning over the bathtub waiting to get in. Well, when he looked over at her the second time while talking about how cute she is...he starts yelling "SHE'S PEEING!! SHE'S PEEING!!" and runs over to her and grabs our bathroom rug! I start laughing that he runs and saves his RUG instead of just hurrying and putting Daisy in the TUB!! I really was about to pee my pants when we both looked back at Daisy and she starts to slips in her pee the first time. Then she catches herself and then slips again! By this point Caleb can't even get me to breath or for that matter help him catch her!! Finally Daisy just Slips FLAT ON HER BACK!! Oh the poor thing!! She was just laying in her own pee!! Hahahahahah!! I still can't get over it!!

I will get pictures soon.
Sorry for another quick wrap up!

The Fun Filled Weekend and going to Hell

I am so mad!! I totally forget my camera this whole weekend! Which means no one is going to want to read this blog. But whatever. I had fun!

So on Friday was our single wards R.S. enrichment night. They decided they were going to do a Girls Camp theme and have a sleepover, food, crafts, and whatever else. I told Caleb earlier that week that he needed to make me go when Friday came around, because more than likely I would've decided I wasn't going to go. Which was the case. But He still kept pushing me to go. We came to the agreement that I would go for and HOUR and he would call me at 8:00pm and ask if I wanted to go home? That way if I did, I just had to say Yes (making it sound like a positive remark on my end) haha. Anyway, He did call at 8pm but I told him NO!! I was having a lot of fun getting to know the girls. Of course by that point nothing had really started...so of course after I hung up with him things just dragged a long. BUT not for long!! I let my real self out and boy did we all have a blast!! We played murder in the dark, seek and hide, and even sang songs while letting the Sh** word slip every now and then when I got scared!! Haha!! It was one of the best nights I have had in a long time!! They even got pictures of me dressing up in the girls bars!! haha.. They say they will post them on the Bishops wall!! Wonderful!! Just Wonderful!! :0)

Saturday was another good day. Caleb had told me about his Hinton Burdick outing for a while now. I thought it was just another one of those boring dinners where you had to dress and act like you knew everyone or cared to meet them. Come to find out Saturday morning it was a swimming BBQ down in St. George!! Awesome!! I love Swim parks and I thought for sure Daisy would love it now that she can walk and actually enjoy the kids pool area!! Which she did!! (I am still so mad I didn't have my camera!!) Caleb and I took turns on the big slide and because we were their after closing hours, we were able to get away with Daisy not having to wear a life jacket!! It was just lots of fun and I totally would go back again!! Not to mention the whole thing was free other than the gas to get down there!! I'm tellin' ya...we need more breaks like this!!

As for Sunday it was a Holiday!! Yep Stake Conference! I told that to Caleb Saturday night that we would be missing church because it was stake Conference and he said, "what?" I told him that growing up Dad always said it was a holiday. Yep! Stake conference, ward conference, and General conference. But of course Caleb came up with some kind of spiritual comment about the importance of them all and not taking the sacrament. I only laughed which I am sure means I will be going to Hell. But what do ya do. It was a great weekend and didn't want to deal with Daisy at church.

Sorry no pictures for such a long blog.

Updates on the Rees Family!

Wow! Where do I begin? Well, on August 22nd our little Daisy turned ONE!! I can’t believe it!! It is so crazy a whole year has already pasted by. We decided that because she is SO cute and EVERYONE totally loves her..(haha) we would let her have a party. The party turned out way better than Caleb and I thought it would. A lot of our friends came from our ward to support us, Caleb’s family came, and my wonderful parents stopped by on their way back to Vegas. We had lots of games and food, and heck, we even got my Dad to play Pin the Crown on the Princess! Haha. What a great Grandpa! Daisy got a ton of presents…, which we so did not expect or need. But thank you to all of you anyway! (We’ve hid most of them away to re-gift at Christmas! Haha)

After Daisy’s Birthday, school started for me! Yay!! Which by the way is going very well. I actually just signed up for my Praxis test that I will be taking November 15th! I am nervous but at the same time already feel really good about it! (It’s a test that I have to pass in order to keep going to school next year. It covers everything you are supposed to learn and remember from 1st-6th grade.)
The day before my 21st Birthday (August 28th) I chopped my hair!! I really wasn’t comfortable with it at first. Not because it was short…but because the style it totally different than what I normally do. I love volume and poof. This 'do' is flat and straight. Haha. I hope you like. I am loving it more and more each day! Especially how quick it is to do!
We celebrated my birthday with Liz and Jess, and also went to eat with Caleb’s parents to celebrate his mom’s birthday too. Lucky Caleb, he only has to remember one date for his mother and wife’s birthday.

On Saturday August 30th, Daisy just up and started walking. I’m telling you, the day before Liz and I were working with her and she kept stumbling between us. But then all of a sudden the next day she just starts walking like it is nothing. Her cousin Claire was there for the weekend and I think Daisy was watching her and was just getting fed up that she couldn’t keep up. So I guess she just decided to do what Claire was doing and just started walking.

Now she walks everywhere and even shows off by watching the TV while walking to her banana chair. Haha. Cutie!

ANYWAY!! Good news Minute!! As you can tell…. Caleb and I finally got the Internet!! Yes!! Plus Caller ID and a few other phone features. But my favorite is the Caller ID!! Anyway, back to the Internet…so we got it right? Well, because we are renting an old house the phone plug in our room doesn’t work. So we took an extremely long gray phone cord that stretches from our room all the way into our kitchen….just to get the dang Internet to work. Haha. Oh well. I have it now and I am happy! So I can Blog every day! (Haha. I wish.)

Caleb and I have also already met with a realtor and plan on talking with some people this weekend about a loan to buy our First house! We plan to be in a house by this coming summer! Yes!! I can’t wait!

Ummm I hope that is everything. Sorry again for not keeping up on blogging. As you can tell August is a busy month for us!
